Introducing the first in The Highway’s Wine Series Dinners,  the ‘Region V Region’ Dinner on Thursday March 7th.

This dinner will be a light hearted night of competition of French V Australian wine hosted by the Negociants State Manager, Michael Orchardson. The wines will be accompanied by an amazing menu specially prepared by our Head Chef.

First Course

Hot smoked coffin bay oysters – confit garlic oil and petite herbs

Chablis (William Fevre, FRA) V Chardonnay (Kooyong Clonale, AUS)

Second Course

Scallop ceviche – cucumber ribbon, ginger, tobiko and blood orange.

Rose (Triennes, FRA) V Rose (Dandelion, AUS)

Third Course

Pressed lamb shoulder – pea puree, dutch carrots, demi glaze.

Chateau Lanessan (Bordeaux, FRA) V Cabernet (Bowen Coonawarra, AUS)

Fourth Course

Beef Fillet – potato galette, celeriac, yam puree and jus.

Dessert

White chocolate parfait – macadamia soil, freeze dried raspberry and berry gel
